Several Samaritan organisations continue their relief efforts in Nepal or are planning support for rebuilding destroyed structures.
At its last meeting in Vienna, the presidium of SAMARITAN INTERNATIONAL elected Dr. Ivo Bonamico, Director of the White Cross South Tyrol, as SAM.I.’s Interim Secretary General.
On 27th April 2015, the ADAPT project partners met in Berlin to discuss the improvement of disaster evacuation for people with disabilities.

SAM.I. and five partners kicked off their latest EU-funded civil protection project ADAPT, which aims to improve disaster prevention for vulnerable people.

In their decision from 11th December 2014, the European Court of Justice has upheld the special role volunteering organisations fulfil in the rescue- and patient transport systems of many European countries.
