Last Saturday, on 29th November, the SAMARITAN’s B.E.S.T. Awards 2014 were handed over in Austria. The local award went to ASBÖ’s Internetcafé ZwischenSchritt, the international award was won by the SAMETS project, headed by ANPAS.
On 29th November, the winners of the 2014 SAMARITAN’s B.E.S.T. awards will be announced in Gmunden, Austria.
The last group of interns in the Mob-Lab project will finish their internships at the SAM.I. General Secretariat and ASB Germany’s foreign aid department tomorrow. SAM.I. and ASB hosted a total of six interns (two at a time), between June and October of this year.

On September 17-21 2014, representatives from 8 SAM.I. members met in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, for project meetings of the two civil protection projects Cross-Border Samaritan Flood Preparedness and SAMETS.
On September 24, Samaritan organisations in 10 countries conducted a series of flash mobs to raise awareness for first aid training among young people. The flash mobs are part of our Year of Youth Engaged in First Aid and therefore followed the motto “Heroes without Superpowers”.
